Some Party Hopping Reflections
I’m having so much fun at this Ultimate Blog Party. There’s over 800 people now. I like to visit the “latecomers” because I never on time for anything these days either.
One thing I’m enjoying is meeting other “young” moms. I was 25 when my girls were born (okay, I did turn 26 the very next day) and I’m Asian so I look younger than I am. (Well, I used to until the twin stress gave me gray hair and wrinkles.) We moved to a completely new area last August at the same time that I quit my job and my best friend moved to Arizona. With two babies I don’t have alot of time to socialize either. So the few friends I’ve made have been through my mothers of twins club. They’re a great group of women but twins are more common the older you get and I think that I might just be the youngest member of the group. Sometimes it’s a little weird being the only one in the room that doesn’t really remember the 80’s.
PS – Not that I don’t love meeting all you moms and grandmoms. I learn something from everyone. But I don’t have a single mom friend who is younger than me. It was nice to find that there are some out there!
I’m a “young” twin mommy too… and I can relate. I was barely 26 when my girls arrived and they were #3 and #4 for me. Everyone in my twins club is older than me I think. Do you get asked if you are the nanny? I hear that all the time. LOL
Awww. thanks for stopping by and it is nice getting to meet all of you guys too… i wonder what i am going to loo like when i am 36 weeks.. i go to the doctor on the 19th so that is going to be fun.. it took the military so long to get me in .. but it’s good.. have a good day…
Hi!
I found you through the party. π
I’m a mother of six and I also run an online baby boutique from home.
The Dollymama blog is my personal blog, and my baby boutique blog is at
http://thebabyboutiqueatwombswindow.com/blog
You may enjoy stopping by there because later this month we will be giving away freebies and having a lot of fun. π
Enjoy the party!
Thanks for visiting my blog during the party. I’m far from a young mommy. Some days I wish I had the energy that I did 10 years ago. The kids seem to suck it right out of you π
It was great to meet you. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Hi! I found you through the party! I hope you are having fun!
I know what you mean about being the youngest. All of our friends already had kids so by the time we had Connor last year I feared I was going to be the only one with a young one! One of my friends is pregnant now but there aren’t any kids his age. They are all 2+ years older than him. Oh well. I figure when he gets in school I’ll start meeting people that have kids his age and hopefully I’ll get along with them. =) LOL!
