Did you know there’s a baby in the house?

That’s what A seems to be saying. A says “bay-bee” when she does the sign for it. Over the past week or so she’s started saying it whenever she sees R. Funnily enough, R is her baby sister – by one minute!

It’s really cute to watch A notice R and say “bay-bee.” Or this weekend, A ended up napping in my bed. When she woke up she looked all around saying “baby-bee.” It really seemed like she was looking for her sister. She said it repeatedly as she crawled all over the bed to see if R was sitting on the floor somewhere.

If only she would start getting Ma-ma right. When I say “Where’s Daddy?” she looks at DH and goes “da-da-da.” When I say “Where’s Mommy?” She points to herself and goes “Ma-ma.” Hmmm….

Yeah…my son is 19 months old now. He will say “beebee” (for “baby”) when he sees babies or kids. A kid could be 4 years old, and there’s my little guy: pointing & saying “beebee”!
