Monkeys that Quack

We’ve decided to dress the girls as their favorite animals for Halloween. So R is going to be a monkey and A is going to be a duck. These are the two animal noises they make the best/most often. I thought it would be really cute to see them make the noises while dressed as that animal. I had them try on their costumes this morning. R took one look at A in her duck costume and started quacking. A looked at R, dressed as a monkey, and started going Ooo–ooo–oo. So I have a monkey that quacks and a duck that makes monkey noises. I really do live in a zoo.

Funny! Do they also think they are looking at the other when they see themselves in a mirror? I remember my girls doing that…

oh god…need to get out more, or get more sleep. one or the other.
Last night at church, I gave the 2 and 3 year olds some rubber duckies from Oriental Trading. They were farm animal and safari duckies. Hard to explain, but they all have duckie beaks and the regular animal features. One of them was a monkey duck. Seriously. My 4 year old snatched it, brought it home and slept with it last night. I kid you not.
