Little Miss Manners

March 24, 2008

The other day R.ita wanted some of the pretzels in’s snack bowl. R.ita reached for some but immediately stopped her. Arm extended, bowl hugged to the side away from her sister, sternly said “say pease!.” Funnier, was watching R.ita obediently say “Pease!” gave her some pretzels which was followed by a request for a thank you.

I love watching them interact with each other. Another fun sister moment occured when they were “reading” a book together. By reading I mean R.ita sits with the book on her lap, babbles a few words to describe what’s on the page, and turns the pages while sits next to her. They got to the end of the book and on the last page the two teletubbies hug each other. They both exclaimed “hug!” and turned to each other for a big hug. Whenever they fight/pull hair/refuse to share/etc I just think of these moments and still can’t find even a little piece of me that would trade in being a twin mom.

HI! That story was so cute. Quick question- Whjat did you use to swaddle? I am scared to use a blanket at night with Eliza because she busts out. We use a Kiddopotamus right now but she is outgrowing it!

Oh, how cute are they! I love children with manners. My son’s are great, and I love hearing about/seeing other’s kids with great manners too. It’s just so important.

Very sweet. My favorite with my twins right now is hearing them laugh together.

I love the sister moments. Makes having only girls (3 of them) totally worth it, especially knowing how close my sisters and I are now.

    Love the manners peer pressure!
