Welcome to the Ultimate Blog Party 2009 hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom!
This is one of my favorite times of year. Two years ago I attended the first UBP as a brand new blogger. (I find it funny how in the real world if I got invited to a party where I didn’t know anyone I would decline and take the phone off the hook. But there was something about this virtual party that just sucked me in. Who can resist a party where you can wear sweatpants and don’t have to clean behind the sofa?) I ventured out and discovered a few new friends. In 2008, I swung through a few parties and was happy to meet a few more friends. (Okay, the truth is that last year I “met” 58 new blogs but finally narrowed it down to a more manageable 20 that became permanent fixtures on my blogroll.) I even won a rockin’ prize!
So welcome to the party! AND, welcome to my new digs. I’m still decorating and this is my very first post over at wordpress.
Why did I change to Too Stupid to Say No Club? Because I am a card carrying member of the club. You may be familiar with our members. Perhaps you are one yourself. Have you ever said yes to planning a Baby Shower with 50 guests that happens to be a week after your twins celebrate their 2nd birthday and just two weeks after Christmas? Have you ever agreed to serve as campaign manager for a local political candidate when you have zero experience? Or, maybe you were the type to agree to help plan a National Convention the same year that your now 3 year old twins decided to stop napping. If so, then you may qualify for membership.
So that’s me. I’m an eight months to thirty, Stay-at-home Mom of identical twin girls who just turned 3 in December. DH and I will celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary in July. I’m also a convention planner, multiples club board member, campaign manager, Flybaby, and library junkie. I typically post everything from the silly stuff my kids are doing, the crazy stuff I like to rant about, and my own efforts at Flying.

Wow I am not sure how I am doing it but apparently I was meant to meet more moms of multiples through the UBP – because seems every other blog I click on is a mother of twins! I am doing my best at raising my boy/girl twins! Thanks for joining the party and live it up! And oh how I should be a member of your club 🙂

Twin blogs are everywhere at the UBP this year! I don’t have twins, but my daughter seems to be a twin magnet. At her fifth birthday party a couple of weeks ago, we invited just 10 children – with six of them being three sets of twins. Nice to meet you!

Thanks for hosting a party! I’m a MOM too. I have boy girl twins who will be 6 next Sunday. I also have trouble saying no and have served as Campaign Manager on numerous campaigns. It sounds like we have a lot in common. I will have to be back to get to know you better.
