Elmo!

A. still doesn’t consistently call me “ma-ma”. She doesn’t call any of her four grandparents or various Aunts and Uncles by any sort of label. She calls her Daddy “da–da” but she also calls a lot of other random stuff that too.

We were in the store today and she recognized Elmo. She clearly pointed and said “em-mo”. My daughter doesn’t know my name, but she can correctly identify the furry red monster. Well, I guess the two Elmo dolls, various Elmo books, Elmo phone, and Elmo video did the trick. And we don’t even play the video more than once a week!

Now I need to create a Mommy doll, Mommy book, Mommy toys, and a video in the hopes that one day she will call me “Ma-ma” when she sees me.
